So glad to hear things are getting better. I hope she has the very best of birthdays on Sunday. She shares her birthday with my best friend so we will be thinking of her at our celebrations on Sunday night. Keeping fingers crossed you get a clean bill of health real soon. I know being in hospital can be depressing, especially at such a special time but just keep remembering that some times it is the best place for her to be.

I’m trying to think of something consoling to say to you. I know your hopes were so high of having a big celebration this weekend of Aria’s First Birthday. For any baby it is a major milestone and for Aria it is a miracle and a tribute to her couragousness and fight for life. She is an amazing ‘normal’ little girl and you and Hamish are such loving, kind and supportive parents.
Although Starship is not exactly a party venue or an appealing place to be, it may be significant that you celebrate part of Aria’s birthday there as this is the place where you were given hope and the knowledge of a future for Aria.
This probably doesn’t help much, but we are thinking of you and want you to be home really soon. HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY ARIA. We love you guys xxxxxx
