Not CVL Monday - Aria MacDonald

Not CVL Monday

Ok so today wasn’t CVL (Central Veinous Line) Monday and it isn’t like it is happening tomorrow either.

Aria’s surgeon is away until tomorrow so it is looking more like Wednesday.  She is ok at the moment so I think we can wait until then.  We really want Mr M to do it cause he knows Aria and he is the best (and very nice).

Today was better. Aria slept for 2 hours and so did Asher (at the same time woohoo) so Hamish and I went for a nice walk and hung out at the family rooms.  Aria only got pricked once 🙁 Her luer tissued in her little hand AGAIN.  Hamish and I both went in to sing and dance and make idiots of ourselves but it is totally worth it if it makes Miss get thru it a bit better.  Aunty Alex had Asher and he managed not to water on her this time.

The grand plan was also for Hamish to go to work today but last night I had a bit of a tummy bug incident and was feeling terrible in the morning.   Feeling 100% now, I am wondering if it was stress related.

So tomorrow my sister is coming in and then Nola and Aria’s nana.  Still at some stage I better suck it up and do a day by myself.

Ali- come and visit, I would love to see you.  We go walking lots over at Auckland Hospital so might see you.

Sorry to hear that the CVL didnt happen today, but sounds like the plan will have it done all in good time. Great to hear you have wonderful family and friends coming to the hospital to support you – you could do it alone, as parents we kind of manage day by day what we get thrown into, but it is awesome you have people who want to be there with you. Hope that beautiful daughter of yours is managing ok, and that you are all getting some rest and bearing up ok. We keep you in our thoughts.

Oh Anita, I am thinking of you and your family. Those are some broad shoulders you have! You and Aria are in my thoughts today, as they have been for a while.

Take all the support you need to help you and your family through every day — no one will begrudge you this small mercy. There is always a day in the future you can help out in kind; one of lifes happy equilibriums! (Something that we too are learning — to be humble!)
Will look forward to hearing some good news soon.

Ellis sends a giggle and a gurgle to cheer you up. (I won’t include the spit-up, as it seems you — or your sis — have enough bodily fluids to keep you occupied!!)

    xx Neala

Thinking of you all and prayers going up that the CVL happens as soon as it can.

I am glad to read that you have been surrounded by support from family and friends during this hospital stay – yes you could do it by yourself, of course you could – but I am so thankful that you don’t have to! It is a small mercy in this long hard journey that you are all doing so brilliantly with!
    Hugs to you all!
