The end of a big day
We went back into Starship early this morning for a CT scan to see what was going on with Aria’s brain (not a CAT scan – confusing). The good news is that it was clear! The bad news is that she wouldn’t go to sleep for it so we had to put her under. It was pretty stressful.
Anyway so no answer on what exactly cause the seizure. It is quite common for kids to have seizures when they have a high temp, unfortunately that wasn’t the case for Aria. Her temp was perfectly normal the whole time 🙁 So it is a mystery at this point. We are hoping it is just a random thing and it wont happen again.
Anyway thanks for your messages of support, they mean a great deal.

Hamish and Anita, So relieved to hear the CT was clear. I hope you get a whole heap of rest over the next few days, although i know it is hard to really rest easy when you are worried about your kids, and hope Aria is feeling great again soon. Keeping you all in my thoughts. Lis

oh you poor tykes, it doesn’t just rain, it definately does pour. I can’t even begin to imagine how you feel or what your going through, but please know as always our thoughts and prayers are with you guys and little aria.
The CT being clear is definately a good thing, lets home it’s just one of those random things that happen sometimes that we in the medical profession have no answers as to why.
Hope things continue to improve from here on in, and you all get back home soon, and get back to concentrating on enjoying your new house and have many more hospital free months

I am so pleased to hear the CT scan was clear. I hope that it was a one off and you dont have to go through that again. You are both in my thoughts and I truely hope that aria gets well soon and you will have time to recharge your batteries. Hugs from us down here in Nelson.
