A great day - Aria MacDonald

A great day

We had a great day today with Aria, you might have already seen the video we made with Aria and Asher. Aria had more energy, more laughs and more smiles than she has in a long time.

Anita even managed to wash Aria’s hair and untangle the brambles in the back. All this while she was sitting in bed drawing and playing with us. It was neat to have a bit of the old Aria back for an afternoon.

She was really talkative too, asking to do things, and telling Asher and I stories about what Anita and her had been doing that day.

We really hope that post transplant she is just like that all the time.

Not entirely sure what brought the good times on, maybe it was just God giving us a bit of a pick up before the holiday season starts.

Anyway, hope you all have a great Christmas tomorrow for all the NZers, enjoy the sun for us.

Love and prayers for your Christmas. So glad Aria had a good day – was SO FAB to see you on Youtube….. be thinking of you as you aren’t with family tomorrow, but may you enjoy the world wide family you have already experienced.

I am sure God had something to do with her good day…in fact now that she is a celebrity here in Wellington after her front page spread I believe so many people have uplifted her in prayer she can’t help but have a great day. Long may it continue. I was thinking of you all day and it was lovely to explain that we too will be seeing the transplant team at Starship soon to talk about Elijah’s kidney so was blown away by Michael tonight saying grace and asking God to bless our meal and Elijah, Aria, Logan and Kolby (2 kids with the same as Elijah who got new kidney’s in the last few weeks) and “dead people’s gutts”. Trust my 4 year old to come up with that one right before Christmas dinner!

Remembering you guys. The snow is awesome, reminded me of the verse in Isaiah, “though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.” This is what Christmas is about God loving the world so much that He sent His Son to die for people like us.
May God continue to pour His tangible blessings upon all of you.

We LOVED seeing you all on the video!! What a blessing to communicate these ways. We are snowed in here with lots of wind and slippery roads, so decided to not go to central Nebraska. We will join our great neighbors, Fran and family for part of the day tomorrow. Guess that Mary and Joseph didn’t have any family around on that first Christmas and know it will be hard to not be around your family either. Hope that anyone you have contact with tomorrow will be uplifting. Just love you all!!
