Our nuclear baby.
We had a radioactive baby for a while today.
Aria had her bone scan today which meant that she had to be injected with a radioactive dye to enable them to see her bones better. It is quite amazing, I think we have now seen every bone in Aria’s little body. The good news is that they couldn’t find any infections in the bone, the bad news is that they couldn’t find any infections.
Tomorrow they will have a look at her heart valves for infection there. After that I think we are out of ideas and they will start really pushing to get her central line out.
Aria is in pretty good spirits, she had plenty of smiles and ‘talking’ today and displayed her lovely placid nature by actually falling asleep in the MRI machine they did the bone scan in.
We would love to see significant improvement in the next 24 hours to save that line, if you all could pray with this in mind it would be great. Thanks.

I remember a doctor looking at James xray folder and then after not finding what she wanted realised she wanted folder 2, not folder 1! Being in hospital can have its interesting moments…but we are still praying that Aria gets well and can be back home soon.

I came across your story in the latest Little Treasures magazine and couldn’t beleive what I was reading. It sounds stupid to say I am sorry you are having to go through all of this but I am. I remember Kirsten telling me a long time back how happy you were to be pregnant but never heard anything further. Im sure you have lots of support from family and friends and all but I just want to throw my hat in the ring too, if there is ever ANYTHING I can do to help please let me know. I never went back to work after my little man was born last March so I’m easy to get hold of. You little miricle girl is just beautiful. Im not one for praying but sending every positive thought I can muster your way.
