Another week has flown past! - Aria MacDonald

Another week has flown past!

Check out our new photo of Aria! She has changed a lot since the last one, she is a big one year old now. Not so much of a baby anymore.

We have had a busy week out and about. I took Aria to meet up with some friends on Tuesday. Aria isn’t crawling or walking yet. She seems pretty happy to sit and play and watch her little buddies hoon around 🙂 She is making progress though which is nice. She has had 3 major surgeries on her tummy and lots of time lying down. Plus Hamish and I haven’t treated her like a normal baby in the way we carry and hold her. She has precious attachments on her body we need to protect. She will get there though – no rush.

She is learning lots every day. She knows where her head, tummy, ears and nose are. When you ask ‘Where’s your tummy Aria?’ She pats her tummy and grins. The new game is sharing. She passes her toys to you and back again. She thinks this is a great game, clapping madly when it is your turn to hold said toy.

In other not so great news Aria’s kidney tests have been put off for 6 weeks. So it will be a while before we know about possible transplant dates. Oh well, all in God’s timing!

I love your new photo of Aria. She is doing so well. Many babies show no interest in crawling or walking until much later so don’t worry 🙂 She is a precious normal little girl (except for her special attachments!). How very annoying to have to keep waiting for those tests.
    Lots of love xxxx

All in God’s timing! The verse that you have at the top is very appropriate and one that none of us should take for granted.
And also in Deut 32:4 it says: He is the Rock, His work is perfect, and all his ways are just. We can be so thankful that He is in control.

    God bless
    Susan

I wouldn’t worry about her not crawling or walking yet. Aria will do it all in her own good time. She is obviously such a clever little girl that she just loves all her mummy and daddy’s cuddles!! As Samantha said above, many babies are just really cruisy, and develop when they feel the time is right for them. Sad to hear the tests have been put off. Best wishes for you when they do arrive xxxxx

Yes keep up the prayers, earnestly keep asking the father for help and power beyond what is normal will be granted, it is a daily battle, but keep hiding those tears and fears, and through prayer of thanks giving and praises to our father above, and all your hearts desires he will grant.

I love the photo!! Arias face just seems so lit up – gorgeous!! We spend so long encouraging them to crawl and walk and then they do and it is a much bigger job!! It sounds like you are enjoying Arias contentness to sit and play happily… she will no doubt go from a crawl to a walk to a run much quicker than a younger child once she is good and ready!! Sorry to hear the tests have been delayed, they will roll around in no time! Hope you are all keeping well and staying warm!

    Hiya,

Don’t worry about Aria not crawling or walking yet . . . I believe that I was late in doing so as well so its not un-normal.

Glad to hear that she is doing well at the moment . . .
Sucks about the tests being delayed though, hopefully the time will fly by so you wont notice.

    Lots of Love

take care and give lots of hugs and kisses to Aria from me
