The Call

The Call didn’t come last night but rather this morning.  Which was a bit disappointing but we would rather have fresh and rested staff working on Aria.  She is in surgery right now getting her new wiggle.  We are praying that it can go back in the same spot.  We will see soon enough.

We have so had enough of hospital.  It is becoming a real chore.  Hamish has done so amazingly well doing ALL the nights and then going to work.  Seriously it is hard work.  I can’t wait until Asher gets bigger and we can share the nights.

So we are desperate to get home.  Not sure when though.  Aria is on 3 antibiotics and we still haven’t sorted this blood sugar issue.  Consultant rounds today so I will be sure to tell them we want to go home, not that they don’t already know anyway.

Thanks for checking in on us and for all the support.

BREAKING NEWS: Aria has a brand new wiggle. Our new favourite surgeon Mr Nightingale, was able to use the same vein as the previous one which is great news. He also gave her a slightly bigger more resilient one to try and guard against incidents in future. Thanks again for the prayer!!

Hope dawns!!!

Aria has gone 24 hours without a temp 😀

Finally, the relief is huge and we are happy and hopefully this is progress.  She is heaps perker within herself and saying new words.  Last night it was ‘wiggle’ and ‘strong’.  She is back to being cute again, waving and blowing kisses to her poster her friend from daycare made.

Today has brought a bit of bad news.  Aria’s central line burst this morning.  There was a fault with it that made it ballon with fluid when you flushed it and it finally give way.  But that can be fixed.

Also her blood sugar is still doing crazy things and we are waiting for answers and test results.

But we are so pleased she is better even the burst wiggle doesn’t bother us to much.

Thank you so much for your support and comments and texts.  It means a HUGE amount to us.

6pm UPDATE:  Aria’s temp has been great all day.  We are waiting for The Call from Surgery for Aria to come down and get her new Wiggle.  Hoping and praying it can go in the same spot as the current one and keep her veins nice and intact.
