On the mend
Aria is almost back to full strength with is great.  We decided not to send her to Preschool yesterday which was disappointing but Preschool is lots of fun and takes heaps of energy. We didn’t want to tax Aria too much. But next Monday we will be there!
On Saturday night our churches held a Wedding Dresses Thru the Ages night. Basically wedding dresses were acquired from young and old and they were modelled by the teenage girls in our church. It was a very interesting night seeing the fashion changes throught out the century. Also they asked people to bring donations to Aria’s Appeal and a very nice $285 was raised. Hamish and I also got the top layer of the wedding cake to take home, made by Mrs Warner who made our wedding cake. I also did a little talk about Aria story. I realised when I got home that I have gotten a bit rusty cause there was lots of stuff I forgot to say!Â
Asher still has the runs. It.is.doing.my.head.in!!!! We switched him to soy over the weekend and we had no poos for 48 hours. YAY! But then yesterday 2 huges ones everywhere!! It will be 3 weeks at the end of the week!!! If you could pray for him I would appreciate it.

Lisa says:My gp told me apples without skin are good for firming up! I usually push bananas? (talking about my kids here!!) I had Travis like that for weeks, drove me nuts and gave him a horrible rash, so feel for you.

Tiffany says:That sounds like a lot of fun, what your church did! I would have loved to have seen that! I’m so glad that Aria is feeling better, but poor Asher! I’ve never heard of the runs lasting that long! I don’t know what people call it in New Zealand, when they have to give kids a special diet when they have the runs or something else, but in America we call it the B.R.A.T.T diet. It stands for bananas, rice, applesauce, tea, & toast. Actually my mom also gave me plain mash potatoes, & plain macaroni too. I just hope Asher gets better really soon; not just for his sake, but for your sake too!

Shirley Davy says:What a tiring few weeks – will be praying for you to have strength and patience even tho’ tired… and for little Asher’s system to get well. Poor wee boy! Great to read that Aria is stronger – will continue to pray for you guys. Hoping that you and Hamish get time to put your feet up with a coffee and a slab of that wedding cake! With love and prayers, Shirley

Delwyn says:I know that stewed apples can be good for both constipation and the runs. Not sure why they help with both but they seem to. Also very good for iffy tummies. I believe it may have something to do with the pectin in them. We keep some tins of apples baby food in the cupboard for those purposes. My husband tells me they tast like applesauce they have in Texas.
