“Aria so worried”
Broke my heart when she said this to me this morning. Â She isn’t alone, we are worried about her too.
Warning: Â This post may make little sense, matching my little sleep.
We finally got up to the ward at 1.30am and Aria woke, screaming every hour or so. Â The Docs had charted morphine and I accepted it for Aria and it seemed to help. Â She had three doses but it would only cover for about 2 hours.
She is pretty unwell today, finally whatever has been hanging around is declaring itself. Â Her temp is 38.3, her heart rate is up, as is her blood pressure. Â She is managing some words but is pretty low.
We went down to ultrasound and they found nothing. Â Very disappointed because we don’t know what is causing the pain.
Thankfully the consultant has been in twice and came down to ultrasound to say we will catch up after lunch. Â But I needed to come home to sleep so Hamish is with her.
I am so tired and so concerned for Aria. Â I really hope they can get on top of whatever is troubling her.
UPDATE Finally some good news Aria’s liver numbers are down! They hit an all time high of 380 but have come down to 320! Still crazy high but an improvement. Samantha has been kicking around in Starship too long because that was also the theory of the Docs that Aria may have a tummy bug. But of course she doesn’t eat so it is hard to know cause.Â
Meanwhile we have a meeting with our local MP on Monday morning. Â And have gotten a very valuable contact to help with media IF we have to go there. Â Which we don’t but we are getting desperate.
Had a long chat with Jodee yesterday, we must of talked for over 3 hours! Â Totally turned my day around which I was thankful for because I couldn’t of managed the trip to ED without the boost of Jodee’s advice and positive outlook.
Anyway please please keep Aria in your prayers and the rest of our family. Â Ashie is with Aunty Megan and the cousins today which he was excited about.

Ohhh Anita, praying for some relief for all of you, and hope they find an answer soon.So glad that Jodee’s support and advice, has helped and she was able to be there for you.

I hope you are getting some rest buddy. There is a tummy bug at the moment, which Jake has and it sounds similar. Raging high temps 39 and 40 plus strong tummy pains and headache. Just thought I’d let you know that this could also be a possibility of what could cause Aria distress. Always, always thinking of you.

Anita,
Your post brought tears to my eyes tonight and I said a prayer for Aria and family. I have always thought there was a special bond between Austin, Aria and Max – 3 kids with short gut all due to Hirschsprung’s, all born within a week or so of each other. Kindred spirits sprinkled across the globe I guess. We are praying you get to Omaha ASAP. We visited there about a year and a half ago. Beautiful hospital and city.

Great if it’s ‘just’ a virus but not great really because its still your little girl feeling grotty. Jakes tummy pains have been coming and going and seem worse when his temp is high, he’s now gone off his food too but is much brighter but still having high temps. My local gp said it would last 2-3 days so hope he will be better this afternoon. At least he is not listless and dopey like yesterday.
Thinking of Miss A, every little bump is a right pain in the *** right now isn’t it. If you are home this weekend let me know and I can drop the prizes off, if not then maybe next week. Lots of hugs and hope xxx

I pray for Aria every night, before I go to bed! Asher probably wonders what is going on with Aria. I hope things with Aria get better soon!
