Running errands
We are back to the business of daily life. Â All those boring jobs that are important but get put on hold when things were dicey with Aria are still needing to be done. Â Bank accounts and drivers licenses to name a few.
We are finding opening bank accounts a slow process. Â We have to wait 30 days for eftpos cards and get a letter in the mail to activate the internet banking and wait 60 days for a visa debit card. Â I guess we are just used to instant banking and not waiting for this and that.
Hamish is going back in time and sitting his practical driving test on Wednesday.  He is able to get a Nebraska State driving license once he passes all the tests so it is back to the road code for him!
Aria is totally back in business and is doing really well. Â We have started afresh with getting her to walk everyday. Â The consultant told it us was the most important thing we could do as parents in regard to her transplant recovery. Â So since we aren’t doing any any other medical cares we should really try and do the best we can. Â It is really hard because she doesn’t like it and it is stressful for us but it is the best thing for her.
We still can’t really believe how far she has come and how sick she was! Â God is so good. Â Still praying for organs though!

joyce says:t to hear Aria is doing so well. Now if the organs just come. I know it must be strange in the U.S. with different customs than you are used to but we will pray it all goes smooth. Still praying here in Texas for all your needs to be met.
God is so good he will keep you in his care.

Jaclyn Smith says:I am absolutely rapt to hear that Aria has turned yet another corner! What an absolute trooper. You are some very lucky parents to have such an amazing little girl – not to mention how lucky she is to have you guys!
Always in my thoughts x

Samantha Sutherland says:What a great post and a happy day. Sorry to hear it’s not much fun getting Aria walking – Kids are pretty stubborn if they don’t like something and it’s horrid forcing them isn’t it! Laughed about the banking situation – it was a nightmare in London too – makes you reallise how advanced little old NZ is really! you guys are doing great!

Anne says:I have a two year old son with HD, though not nearly as severe as Aria’s. In reading your blog, I fought back tears — what a difficult time and emotional rollercoaster this must be for yourselves, and little Aria!! I will be thinking of you all and praying for you daily!! It seems such a small thing to say and do, but I have faith, that God will hear our prayers and that He has a plan in mind for each of his children. God Bless.

Kathleen and Anita says:All the best for the driving test Hamish!
You could try to invent a carrot and donkey situation to get Aria walking. Like a long drawn out hunt the thimble type game where she has to go short distances that mysteriously get longer in order to find the tiny things you have hidden for her! If she sees you with them wrapped up before she goes to hunt for them she will be even more motivated to go hunt! Have fun! Wish I was there to play too!

Natalie and Cody says:The girl is amazing – I’d hate to be going for all the licence stuff again – i’ve picked up so many bad habits over the years that i’d probably fail, esp driving on the other side of the road (mind you i do that every so often esp when having a bad day – ha just joking) good luck Hamish you’ll be fine just don’t run over anything large)
Am praying for the organs and for things to all go smooth for you hugs
