Lowlight and a highlight…..so far
Highlight of the Day! Â See above! Â How excited were we? Â Yes I did cry a bit when I opened the box and saw the goodies 🙂 Â Thank you Randall, we are really grateful. Â WE didn’t know about this online shop until we got Randall’s parcel. Â Australia and NZ products are mostly the same because the two countries are treated as the same market pretty much.
Lowlight was the car battery going dead in the parking lot of the daycare we were visiting. Â Thankfully Cordell and Carol came to our rescue. Â Thank you Cordell!!!!! Â Cordell left work to bring jumper leads and follow us back to the hospital safely.
Good news was we got to spend about an hour at the daycare we are looking at sending Asher. Â Again they come highly recommended by several staff members at the hospital. Â One of them has had their 4 kids there over 10 years. Â We liked what we saw (very clean, long serving staff, small classes, nice indoor/outdoor facilites etc) and they were understanding of our situation and are willing to be flexible. Â Funny at home we would never consider sending Ash to a daycare centre but would choose home based care. Â Here it is the other way around because they don’t have the set up or organisations like Porse that were so good to us. Â Anyway the lovely ladies there let us come in out of the cold and gave Asher lunch while we waited for the Hamish and Cordell to do men things with the car.
Tonight Hamish and I are going out on a double date with Randy and Angie, we are really looking forward to that!! Â So there should be more highlights to come and hopefully no more lowlights.

Jodee Reid says:I’m envious! Mac nut chocolate was my fav in NZ. I did find Aussie meat pies in the dollar store a year or two ago but I must have been the only one buying them because they stopped stocking them 🙁
Good to hear you have some highs!

Tiffany Keller says:I’m happy that a friend sent you little pieces of home! That’s always a nice thing to get. I just saw a restaurant on the Travel Channel called Big Momma’s House (I think that’s what it’s called), & they serve amazing BBQ. It’s right in Omaha, NE. So, if you & Hamish ever get some time out with each other, alone, I thought you would like to know about this restaurant. The daycare place sounds awesome! I hope it works out for you! God Bless!
