The Little Mermaid
Aria is watching the Little Mermaid for maybe the tenth time. Â I think she just likes the TV being on.
Miss Aria’s heart rate is up and her blood pressure is down. Â Feels like a bit of a set back really. Â They gave her sedation last night which I am a little confused by because we are wanting her sitting up and moving to get some of that fluid out.
Starting to get frustrated that the breathing tube is still in. Â Asked this morning if it might come out today and it doesn’t look likely. Â We had hoped that today would be the day. Â But there is fluid pooling in her chest and they don’t want to take it out. Â It has been there almost a week. Â A whole week since Aria has spoken and been able to communicate with us.
But the reality is talking isn’t as important as breathing- obviously. Â And being that she has a lot of fluid in her lungs and all over her taking the tube out while all that fluid on board is not a great idea. Â So we need to get that fluid moving by either getting those kidneys going or putting in a chest drain. Â Sigh
Anyway hopefully things will improve soon.

Kiwi Carole says:Hi Kiwi’s, from a Florida Kiwi! My husband & I have been following your newsletters along very closely for a while now since hearing about Aria from our NZ stuff.co daily emails. You may recall I wrote in early January requesting a postal address to send Aria & Asher a copy of the book I wrote & illustrated ‘Tails’ of American Bronte. One of the characters is a gorgeous cat named Miss Aria. When you sent your hospital address, I immediately got a book ready & sent it on the 13th January & paid the extra for delivery confirmation from the P O. I sent the book Media mail which is the way I send all my books. So far, I’m sorry to say the book has got as far as the Des Moines delivery center in Iowa & despite many requests no one can tell me any more about it. Great postal system as you can see here!!!!
I have tried to deliver on my promise to send Aria my book. I don’t know what else to do, but I wanted to let you know. Hoping it arrives soon. You are all so much in our prayers. When I open my inbox Aria’s newsletter is the first to get read.
God’s blessings on you all.

Mark and Jo says:So stink that the breathing tube has to stay 🙁 I guess as you say though, the breathing tube is important for now. but i can only imagine how frustrating it must be for Aria (and you) to not be able to tell you what she wants, and just even to have a chat in general 🙁 praying that this fluid in her moves very soon. come on kidneys! you can do it!!! 🙂 xx
