Aria’s story on Sunday - Aria MacDonald

Aria’s story on Sunday

Aria’s story aired last night on Sunday.  We have had nothing but great feedback- thanks to all those who posted on Facebook and via the contact form.

Americans and Australians and everyone else,  Please click here to watch the three parts

We were pretty happy with it, tackled the obvious questions well.  Over played the time spent in Starship, she wasn’t there a huge amount although it did feel that way at times.  Isn’t Dr Botha great?  They are all great and we are thankful to everyone who was involved.

Hey guys, not sure if you remember me but my daughter was in hospital when Aria was very young, and I went to school with Anita, I have followed your story ever since Hamish was kind enough to bring me some food when my daughter was so close to death. I can’t believe how strong you both are, it’s truly amazing. My daughter also follows Aria’s story and now at nearly 10yo she is more and more aware of how lucky she is. Thank you for sharing your story with us and for showing us what it truly means to be a devoted loving caring family.

I just sat and cried as I watched this video of God’s wonderful work in Aria. I have realized the journey you have been on for so long would have been impossible for most parents to endure but with God’s strength you have made it thus far. What a blessing that you have shared with so many who have come to love you all. Prayers for all who financed this trip and especially to the health care workers who are doing such a great job. Also to the parents who made the organs available. Praying for all.

MacDonalds you are awesome! I loved the way your story was told and Dr Botha was so lovely. He must be a great doctor to deal with as he obviously adores Aria! You both spoke so well and from the heart as usual. What parent wouldn’t go to the ends of the earth to save their child – I know I would! What cost is a childs life? We are lucky to live in a country where life is valuable and worth saving. The medical costs are not high when you consider how much it costs to keep a murderer in prison for life or the court costs in prosecuting people who abuse children is it? Aria now has the chance to be a child again not a patient and I’m sure she will live her life to the fullest!

What a great programme, what a lovely smile Dr Botha has and what a sincere man. You are all truly blessed to have him in your lives. It’s not often that my partner sits and watches “programmes like that” but he watched the whole thing and then commented that you are all such special people. Love you lots and warm fuzzies to you all.

What a wonderful program. I sure loved “getting to know” each of you better. I am certain that the Lord will use this for His greatest glory. It is so good to see Aria up and walking. Such a precious smile and laugh she has. As always, I’m continuing to pray for all of you. Thank You, Lord, for the MacDonald family.
    In His love,

I just watched the program from the link. I thought it was pretty fair, & Dr. Botha was great! Seems very caring, & is really there to help Aria! You have been through so much! Aria is definitely a champion! Olympics athletes have nothing on her, because she beats them all! 🙂 God Bless!

What can we say????The programme was beautiful and my sons and I were very touched by the story of little Princess Aria and her mum, dad and wee brother, and the amazing Doctor Botha and other wonderful people involved. I doubt there were many dry eyes watching the story! Just think how many lives you have all touched throughout this journey! Your honesty about your feelings, hopes, fears and your faith in our amazing Father is a testimony of great proportions! For many non-Christians it is so hard to understand how a parent can say, “I am able to surrender my child’s life to you now, be it Heaven or still with us here.” But I think that after the way you put that message across last night there will be many who have a better understanding of how Christians can do just that and be at peace about it! Thank you all so much and just you keep on being brave and strong and wonderful parents to your precious little ones. God bless-love, Jeannie

It was a fantastic program. Great to see aria now looking so well. She’s come a long way in the past few months.

  24. Anjela says:

Go Aria!! Go mum and dad! programme was wonderful – whole family all watched it – we have been praying for you all and Aria throughout the year as we learned of the situation through Attitude. I saw in your eyes as a mum, the determination, conviction, and commitment to life, in light of the fact God has chosen Aria to have more time too -as a mum I got that – hang in there – rant and rave and pray and sing, do all things necessary as ‘mum’ to make it work for you too – your story has made a huge impact on me and so many without a doubt!! xxxx

  25. Claudia says:
