H-O-M-E
Aria crashed out on the floor asleep! Â This picture, taken tonight amazes me. Â This is the little girl was standing up to sleep days ago, now almost flat and asleep in seconds. Â To fast for me to get her to bed!
Coming to you live from……
HOME!!!
Aria is home and we are much more excited this time. Â She is doing really well. Â It seems surreal to see her walking around our house and laughing and exploring. Â It has been awhile since she has had that energy.
The pulmonary Doc walked into her room beaming this morning and said ‘did you see her gases today- it is like she has had a lung transplant!?’ Â Her blood gases show her lungs are more effective than they have been in a long time.
Aria is on a bi-pap machine at home now. Â She was on CPAP. Â Don’t ask me what the difference is- I haven’t figured it out. Â Whatever it is she is sleeping better and is waking up rested and happy.
Anyway, I will post a pic soon of the therapy that is helping her. Â It is kinda funny and needs a pic.
We feel so grateful and happy that Aria is doing better. Â The sleep study and possible surgery may still go ahead but the team are hoping Aria keeps improving. Â Isn’t it funny how God closes a door and opens another? Â We feel really grateful that the transplant team really stood with us and got everyone involved and worked hard to get a solution for Aria. Â Whenever we said ‘Aria is not good’ they would say ‘we agree- lets sort this!’ Â Great stuff 🙂

Cork and Carol says:Praise the Lord!! We are so happy and glad you are home. With a brief time there yesterday, I quite agree that hospital life….although necessary, is not good (and that is a GIANT understatement!) Keeping on with prayers!

Rod & Margaret says:Praise the Lord indeed!! Wonderful news – what a huge change in a short time – God is indeed SO faithful. As you say, one door shuts and another opens, so often the way – “I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. ” (Rev.3:8)

welshie says:here’s a link to the difference between bipap and cpap
http://www.buzzle.com/articles/cpap-vs-bipap-difference-between-cpap-and-bipap.html
Hope that clears thing up for you.
My mom suffered respiratory failure and we got to learn about all the different things. She couldn’t handle either bipap nor cpap and had to have a tracheostomy and use a vent when she slept. That’s a lot more common than you might think because so many people with breathing problems also have anxiety and can’t deal with any kind of mask on their faces so, though it might not feel like it, you’re pretty lucky that Aria can tolerate a mask.
I’m glad she’s doing so much better. Here’s to a happy New Year for all of you!
