Sickness and Wellness - Aria MacDonald

Sickness and Wellness

Thank you for all the lovely comment on the previous post.  Thank for all the beautiful words.  They do make a difference for sure!

Aria had her first cycle of chemo lite on Friday.  It went really well and she was transferred back up the the regular ward the next day.  She also has 5 days of steroids and the those finish up tomorrow.  Apart from being fluid overloaded and a bit emotional at time she is doing good.  Eating eating eating!  Sent me down to the cafe this morning for bacon and eggs.  She is nibbling constantly.

Asher is finally better.  He spent almost 4 days having high fevers and pretty much down and out.  Day 4 of antibiotics for him and he is on the improve.

Right now I feel like there is so much to say but very little energy to do so.

Dear Anita, Hamish, Aria and Asher (and grandparents and aunties and uncles too), we have been praying for you all in this roller coaster of a ride. A scripture that really came to mind yesterday, and is just as applicable today, is Psalm 23 – the Lord is your shepherd, even when you go through the valley of the shadow of death and things get tough – and you can fear no evil, because the Lord is with you, and goodness and mercy will follow you all your days.

No one could go through as much as you and your family have gone through, but you hang on in there and somehow cope with it all. You are an amazing family. Go well and take good care of yourselves.

Such good news that Aria is eating and that poor wee Asher is feeling better. There is nothing this amazing girl has not beaten (along with her amazing parents) and I am sure this time will be no different, but continuing to pray for you all none the less. God bless you all.

One hour at a time, one step at a time. Grab rest as much as you can. May the Lord make those times of rest as if you have slept for a day. The Lord still has his hand on your Aria, and family. We will continue to pray for you guys.
