Aria is in the NZ Woman’s Day this week if you are interested
Monday. Â New week, new team. Â Well same team just different bosses of said teams 😉
Aria hasn’t made much progress over the weekend. Â On Thursday it seemed like madness that she would still be on the vent on Monday. Â But Monday is here and she is still on.
The main issue is her fluid status.  Still lots of fluid on her.  But she is peeing great and responding well to the meds.
Unfortunately she has been spiking low grade fevers.  And the cultures from 4 days ago came back positive on the 5th day.  This is unusual but it does mean the bug is weak and at a low count.  But it would be nice to get clear cultures soon.  They were taken the day her line was pulled so we are hoping things have cleared but the fevers don’t seem to suggest that.
Saturday was a difficult day.  She was crying a bit which was really hard to watch.  Her little face would crumple up and her vent would alarm as she held her breath.  Obviously you can’t hear her but her little eyes looked so sad.
Today I decided to go in with my listening ears on and my believing heart ready. Â The message loud and clear from everyone is ‘don’t worry, she will get thru this’ Â ‘you can’t see cause you are here everyday but she is improving’ etc etc. Â No one is saying Aria is in trouble or she won’t pull thru. Â Yes she is in a tight spot for sure but she is a fighter and her little body is fighting. Â What with is the question cause she has no immune system! Â God’s power is at work within her.
There is just so much sadness, like a heavy wet blanket wrapped around me that I just want to shake off. Â I miss my girl!

Maybe you can think on the heavy wet blanket as holding the tears of all of us who care and are
praying daily for all of you. We are strangers but feel so close because you have let us feel like friends who feel your hurt.Because you have touched us so deeply with your testimony of the love of God.
Aria has shown us true miracles of God so many times.

Continued prayers for all of you as God continues to strengthen your faith as you cling tight to him in this times of so many unknowns. Praising God that while Aria can’t fight all that is going on he is her fighter and protector. He WILL and CAN heal her totally and completely. He continues to work miracles her in life. LOVE!

Thank you dear Anita for the update. I shall get the Mag this morning. When I pray, Daniel comes to mind . His prayers took weeks for the answers to come through because they had to fight opposition on the way. We know that God has the victory and we claim it. God created the world by his word, so I use the word to speak to her immune system to get back into order in Jesus’Name.
Your sadness is so understandable. May the Lord Himself comfort you and give you a special encouragement today!

… if we are interested … you funny girl, this is Aria’s fan club here, we are probably keeping Womans Day going this week! Look, you know the docs are very honest with you and if they say things are good then they are good. It’s revolting seeing your child on a vent but it is giving her the energy to fight this where she would otherwise have spent it on fighting for breath. Take time out for yourself, sounds like you really need some time to re-group right now and get your own strength back. Please look after the carer. Love and Hugs xxxx

Think of the blanket, as being our hugs & prayers. There are so many people praying for Aria, & your entire family! I’m sorry to hear that Aria has been sad. She has been through so much in her short 5 yrs. in this world. It is amazing to see what God has done in her life (& your family’s life), & what He continues to do through all of you. I will continue to pray that God will provide her doctors on ways to better treat Aria, and to help bring her home! Many hugs to your family! God Bless!

Let’s do away with that horrid wet blanket. Here’s something lovely to drape round your shoulders: Isa 61:10 “For He has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness.” Now that really is worth wearing!
